THROUGH MY MOTHER'S HANDS - THE PARK

In a black box acting like a white cube Pontus Pettersson has created a space for contemplation and curiosity. Painting with nail polish on empty slides, the practice and result is of a experimental and louring nature. Finding the bridge from contemporary dance into visual art as the paint itself needed to be loaded and performative. In the darkened space the eyes looks for refuge in the  projected painting while the body starts adapting to the new situation.

Nail polish as object, sign and modus. Nail polish being used and its possible usage. As material and immaterial/performative - the brew of care, painting, chance, experimentation, nostalgia and tranquillity appeared, keeps on appearing.
